This 2 days a week Bricklaying Course is designed to develop your skills and knowledge, preparing you to start work as a trainee bricklayer in the construction industry. You'll have opportunities to visit active building and construction sites, gaining real-world insights. Throughout the course, you'll study more complex house and wall construction, brick bonds, construction materials, bricklaying tools, their care and use, building regulations, health and safety, and construction principles and science. This comprehensive training ensures you gain the practical experience and theoretical knowledge needed to excel in the bricklaying profession.

  • Entry Requirements

    You must:

    • Be over 19
    • Have 4 GCSEs at grade 9-3 (A*-D), (English and maths desirable) OR
    • Have a Level 1 qualification (Merit or Distinction) in a related subject
  • Assessment
    • A range of practical workshop tasks
    • External test from the City & Guilds throughout the year

    This course is taught on Monday and Wednesdays at 5.30pm-8.30pm
