This one day a week course is perfect for learners aspiring to become Gym Instructors. Alongside planning and delivering gym-based programmes, you will gain knowledge in key areas such as Anatomy and Physiology, Health, Safety, and Welfare in a fitness environment. You will also learn how to design safe and effective exercise routines for a variety of clients, explore the health benefits of physical activity and healthy eating, and develop skills in effective communication and motivating clients to stick to their exercise programmes

    • Anatomy and physiology
    • Health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment
    • How to programme safe and effective exercise for a range of clients, the health benefits of physical activity and the importance of healthy eating
    • How to communicate with clients effectively and motivate clients to adhere to an exercise programme
    • The skills and knowledge required to plan and prepare a gym-based exercise programme
  • Entry Requirements
    • Be over 19
    • Have either 4 GCSEs at grades 9-3 (A*-D) (English and maths desirable) OR a Level 1 qualification
  • Delivery

    This course is taught on Mondays at 9am-7.30pm
