The Diploma in Health and Social Care offers a flexible programme tailored to various fields within the sector. You can choose a pathway that best aligns with your role, such as supporting individuals with learning disabilities or dementia. This qualification is delivered in the workplace, with the added benefit of classroom-based lessons once a month, ensuring a perfect balance of practical learning and academic support. This course is 2 days a week.

    • Duty of Care in Care Settings
    • Safeguarding and Protection in Care Settings
    • Responsibilities of a Care Worker
    • Promote Person-centred Approaches in Care Settings
    • Promote Health, Safety and Wellbeing in Care Settings
    • Promote Effective Handling of Information in Care Settings

    Mayors Skills Academy Health and Social Care

  • Entry Requirements

    Anyone aged 19 plus working as an apprentice in the role of a lead adult care worker within the health and social care sector

  • Moving Forward

    After this course you could progress onto:

    • Level 4 Lead Practitioner in Adult Care Apprenticeship
    • Higher level qualifications in care
    • Specialist qualifications reflecting the context in which they work

    This course is taught on Tuesday and Thursday at 9.30am-5pm
