This course is designed for experienced Gas engineers to keep their ACS qualifications up to date, including four appliances. This is required every five years to maintain Gas Safe Registration. It is intended for operatives who regularly carry out installation and maintenance work on domestic natural gas pipework, appliances, and equipment. This is a prerequisite to all of the appliance assessments. This course includes training and assessment in CCN1 (Core Domestic Gas Safety), CENWAT (Central Heating Boilers and Water Heaters), CKR1 (Cookers) and HTR1 (Heaters).
This course is aimed at experienced plumbers and heating engineers who want to install vented and unvented hot water systems to comply with the appropriate Building Regulations and Standards. The manual for England and Wales covers Approved Document G3: Part L1 and Part P; while the one for Scotland references Part J. Once certificated, you can register with a Competent Person's Scheme, which allows you to self-certify your hot water system. All Students attending the Initial course will receive a training manual upon receipt of payment for pre-course study.
This course is to maintain competency and certification for plumbers and heating engineers who want to install Vented and Unvented Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems to comply with the appropriate Building Regulations and Standards in England and Wales. Candidates are eligible for reassessment within 12 months of expiry. If your accreditation expired more than 12 months ago, you must attend the initial course.
